What to Expect From Services at Rehab Lab
The services at Rehab Lab and the amenities that a rehab offers, the more it will typically cost. However, it’s important to understand that while these offerings can be helpful, they aren’t necessary to promote recovery. Instead, a facility’s focus should be on providing an appropriate treatment setting, evidence-based approaches to therapy and individualized care.
Rehab, or rehabilitation, is a specialized medical service that helps patients recover from a variety of ailments and conditions. Generally, it involves a combination of physical and/or occupational therapy. In some cases, speech therapy may also be involved.

A typical day in residential treatment begins with breakfast. After breakfast, clients meet with a therapist for one-on-one sessions that can last anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes. During this time, a psychologist or counselor can also be available for support and guidance.
In addition, a client may participate in group therapy. This is often a more relaxed option that allows people with similar issues to meet and share their experiences. Some facilities also offer partial hospitalization programs, which are an ideal option for those who have a high level of independence and don’t need the constant monitoring of inpatient treatment.
Lastly, some facilities provide patients with access to REHAB-LAB, an integrated FABLAB intended for the manufacture of assistive devices using 3D printing. The initiative was initiated by the Centre Mutualiste de Reeducation et de Readaptation Fonctionnelles de Kerpape and is now being implemented at other locations.
